The daily rate for SSP will be £123.25 or 80% of the employee’s average weekly earnings, whichever is lower.
Qualifying Criteria
– Is paid at the same time and in the same way as your employee’s wages.
– The Lower Earnings Limit is abolished, meaning all employees will be entitled to SSP regardless of your earnings.
– SSP will start on day one of sickness, ending the three unpaid waiting days.
– You should complete an SC2 form to self-certify a sick absence.
